Spain is a popular vacation destination, especially if golf is on the agenda. The mild weather year-round, coupled with the beautiful scenery and overabundance of rolling golf courses make golf holidays in Spain a popular vacation choice. No matter your skill level, you can find a golf package that’s perfect for you.

Golfing in Spain

Visit a travel agent or consult the internet to find golf vacations. You can find out about the locations of the course and its degree of difficult. You’ll also find pictures and maps of the courses online.

Many of the upscale golf resorts have a golf pro on site who runs the site’s golf school for guests of the resort. You can get private lessons or lessons with a larger group. Of course, the more people involved in your lesson, the less expensive it will be for you. Some hotels even offer golf instruction for kids. There are also areas to practice between lessons.

Visiting the golf shop can net you new golf clothing and equipment. You can outfit yourself with resort wear, or pick up a golf related item you may have forgotten to pack. Golf clubs and equipment can be cumbersome and inconvenient to bring on your trip, so you can find golf club rental here as well.

The resort’s club house offers a comfortable place to relax and unwind before or after your game. You might find shower amenities and food service.

Sometimes golfers are waylaid by slower golfers in front of them. You might avoid this by taking your shot immediately when it’s your turn, and staying close to the group in front of you, so you’re ready to take your next shot as soon as the group vacates the hole. This can result in a shorter wait time for the players after you. It’s important to be courteous to other players on the course.

Other Activities at Golf Resorts

When you’re not golfing, you can enjoy a variety of other activities. You can go swimming in the hotel pool, or head to a restaurant or shopping. More and more of the upscale resorts have restaurants and shops on site. If this isn’t the case, and you’re interested in those activities, make sure to choose a resort that is in close proximity to these things. If you’ve rented a car, this isn’t as critical, since you’re free to drive where you’d like.

By doing your research, you can have an enjoyable golf holiday in Spain!

Orlando is a city with a lot to offer, and when searching for vacation hotspots with something for everyone, fewer cities can compare. From Disney World and Universal Orlando to world class golfing, shopping, nightlife and everything in between, Orlando is indeed a vacation paradise.

Choosing Orlando as a vacation destination is easy, but how can one get the best deal that will allow them to see the sights and enjoy the experiences they desire at the best possible price?

According to Kyle Collins, Director of Interactive Marketing for HotelsCorp.com, “Orlando is one of the few vacation destinations that offers almost unlimited package options that can be customized to meet the needs of the individual or group. While package deals to other destinations usually involve substantial savings with limited choices, Orlando can be enjoyed at a discount without having to compromise.”

Travel agencies who specialize in Orlando getaways can help vacationers find a package that suits their tastes and without breaking the bank. Still, some packages may be the most suitable yet not include the full menu of activities that are available in Orlando, “The Vacation Capital of the World.”

“The way to book a satisfying trip to Orlando,” continues Collins, “is by finding a package deal that comes closest to offering all the activities you want and then taking advantage of add-ons to complete the experience.”

Add-ons are usually sold as excursions, tours or simply tickets and can usually be had at a discount if you include them when purchasing your initial package deal. Most agencies have discounted arrangements with the providers and operators of several popular activities, from shows to golf outings and more.

“Although it can be tempting to account for every waking moment by adding various activities to the itinerary, “ warns Collins, “vacationers should remember two important points when booking. The first is that keeping a more open schedule will allow them to relax between activities and enjoy each experience without feeling rushed. The second is that, undoubtedly, travelers will encounter things they want to try while on their vacation, so having some down time scheduled will allow them to make new plans without losing out on what they’ve already booked.”

You’ve wanted to take that cruise, to experience the excitement
of new ports and places with your family. You’ve daydreamed
about your place in the sun. You’ve made a million excuses to
yourself why you can’t. Perhaps you’ve thought that the cruise
of your dreams is out of reach financially. You’re in for a
surprise.

The cruise industry is one of the fasting growing of the
vacation/hospitality industries today. With the popularity of
sea cruising growing by leaps and bounds cruise lines are
growing and are able to offer more discounts to their customers.
You also have the cruise industry at your fingertips through the
use of the Internet. Every cruise line has a website where you
can check cruises, dates and deals.

Each cruise line offers what they call theme packages. These
packages are mean to attract a people of a certain lifestyle or
age group. If you are traveling with your family you may qualify
for a family discount, or, depending on your age, a senior
discount. Some cruise lines offer honeymoon discount.

It is a little known fact that many cruise lines experience last
minute cancellations. When this happens they are eager to fill
the empty slots. If you are flexible you may be able to get an
excellent last minute deal. Call the cruise line a few days
before the ship is set to sail to see if there are any last
minute deals.

If you become a frequent cruiser you may be able to get a
discount as a repeat customer. Many cruise lines give discounts
and a good percentage off if you book with them year after year,
or, if you are planning more than one cruise in a year, if you
book both cruises at the same time.

Along with checking for cruise deals online, don’t forget that
sometimes a travel agent is worth his/her weight in gold. Check
with an experienced travel agent who may be able to help you get
deals that aren’t offered to online customers. This travel agent
may also be able to help you get the best airfare price .

The cruise of your dreams is out there, and it’s within your
reach. Do your homework. The information is out there, it’s up
to you to find it

I took my first group tour this summer. That was a learning experience. Don’t get me wrong. I had lots of fun, but for someone who has always traveled alone, I had some “learning” to do.

First things first! Getting to know my co-travellers! This was easy and fun, cause our group leader organized several get-togethers way in advance, so we could get to know each other, and get all or questions answered. And there were many questions, like, where would we stay, where can we buy travel insurance, what should we bring, what will immigration and customs documents will be need! And more.

Then roommates had to be assigned, because it would be cheaper to share a room than to have your own room. So unless you were a family , you got a roommate. I got two roommates, and we really hit it off. One roommate was a die hard shopper, and the other was an eternal organizer. So between the three of us, we had a ball.

But I did have to learn to be patient. Our group was very diverse. We had kids, teenagers, and some older persons. So things did not always move as quickly ( or as efficiently) as when I travel alone. We usually had to wait and make sure that everyone was accounted for before our tour bus could leave for the next stop. Hotel check-ins did not always go smoothly, but once we got settled the rooms were comfortable.

The key to enjoying group travel is to be patient and to be considerate. Be flexible and tolerant in order to accommodate others in the group, and do your best to stick to the itinerary schedule. Don’t show up at 7:30 when the Bus was scheduled to leave at 7AM. Take your sense of humor with you, and you will definitely have a good time.

Group travel is an excellent way to make new friends and to foster old friendships. If you want to spend quality time with your friends, family members, or business colleagues and enjoy a wonderful vacation experience at the same time, then I highly recommend a group travel tour!
